Yay for the site being back! Congrats on getting it back up. I can't wait to read more of this :)
Btw, if you want any help with your website, feel free to ask or email me at katlover828 at yahoo. My job involves creating websites so I can help you out, if you want.
Amy, I'd appreciate any feedback I can get. I know it's terribly simple looking and "homespun" but is there any major changes I should make so the site can be navigated easier?
Please excuse me if I pick apart at too many things. I'm just trying to help ^_^;;
One major thing that's messing up right now is that there seems to be scrollbars everywhere on my browser of Internet Explorer 6 (like this. Sorry, blogger won't let me make this open in a new window), though there are less scrollbars in Firefox (like this). I've never really dealt with frames before (I prefer HTML tables and CSS), but I'm assuming you need to adjust the frames to fix the scrollbar issues. And the homepage of hoodiegypsy is showing up squished (like this) on Internet Explorer 6, as well, though it looks ok in Firefox. Don't you love having to deal with multiple browsers (and multiple versions of browsers) to make things look right? */Sarcasm*
Navigation on the hoodiegypsy home page looks ok, other than the buttons being a bit spaced out so people might have to scroll to see them all so I'd suggest putting them closer together. And I'm not sure, but the body might be a little too far to the right if someone is looking at this in a smaller screen resolution, they might end up having a horizontal scrollbar at the bottom (so you might want to change your screen resolution a couple times to check that).
As for the Skipping Tomorrows area, I think the navigation on the side is cute with all the books and then having the Character Profiles up at the top with the figures (though I would suggest labelling it as "Character profiles" since otherwise, you don't know that it's there). When you have a unique navigation system like this (where the links aren't a simple list) then you have to make sure to label them well so people can enjoy the cuteness and still get around on the site, lol.
If you keep the frames, and if this isn't too hard, I would suggest putting the comic within the body frame rather than making it pop up in a new window since the body frame should be big enough for the comic to fit. Though either way works fine. That's just my thoughts on it.
Personally, if I were to make this site, I'd make it with tables to pull the banner together with the layout more. It seems kind of seperated since Emma and Shawn get kind of cut off at the top and bottom. Maybe try putting a stroke on it, like this? Seems less open-ended that way. Color and textures are nice for the site too, of course, but those can come later. I'd love to play around with the design of the site myself, but this is your site, and I don't want to overstep my boundries, lol. I hope my suggestions helped, and if you want any other input, feel free to ask. I would love to see this site fully functional and even more attractive so it can draw in more visitors. You've worked hard on the comic and deserve more viewers :)
Thanks a ton, Amy, I'm currently trying to fix some of the things you mentioned right now (I actually just accidentally blew up my navbar o_O) I really appreciate the suggestions and the screen shots!
Adults tend to include occupation as part of the general introduction process. I'm more interested in what people's hobbies and interests are more than how they fill their checking accounts.

Thanks for checking in, both of you. :)
